Hello everyone. For my 4th reflection would be
the last topic for school of thought. My team member, Fikri and Rezwie will
represent our group presentation. 😉✌
The third school of thought is Behavioral school of thought
which is also called behaviornism. As
the name implies, it helps us to understand why we behave as we do, scientist
finding out how external, environmental stimuli cause overt or observable
learner behaviour and how modifying a learner’s environment can change
behaviour.
There are four types of behaviourism which are contiguity, classical conditioning, operant conditioning and social learning. I will explain simply so that easier for us to understand.
Contiguity - It proposes that any stimulus and response connected in time and/or space will tend to be associated.
Classcial Conditioning - Classical conditioning is defined as conditioned response to a neutral stimulus after having been paired repeatedly with an unconditioned stimulus.
Operant Conditioning - Actions that are followed by reinforcement will be strengthened and more likely to occur again in the future. It is also a method of learning that occurs through rewards and punishments for behavior.
Social Learning - Bandura's Social Learning Theory posits that people can learn form one another, via observation, imitation, and modelling. The theory has often been called a bridge between behaviorists and cognitive learning theories because it encompasses attention, memory and motivation.
That's all for the topic school of thought. Hope we all can learn and understand well about the Theories School of Thought. Stay tuned for my next reflection. 😇💁
